About the Role:
This electrical project engineer position plays a pivotal part in managing and overseeing large-scale de-watering and aquifer recharge projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading electrical engineering design efforts and providing comprehensive support throughout construction and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee electrical design deliverables to ensure quality and compliance with established standards and regulations.
- Develop procurement strategies and packages for switchrooms, MCCs, HV and LV equipment to meet project requirements.
- Monitor and verify that equipment fabrication meets schedule, quality, and industry standards.
- Provide dedicated electrical engineering support throughout construction and commissioning processes.
- Cultivate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success and optimize outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer on large-scale mining or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of HV and LV electrical equipment, switchrooms, and MCCs, with ability to apply knowledge effectively.
- Experience in engineering management and quality assurance for design deliverables, ensuring high-quality output.
- Knowledge of procurement strategies and vendor management practices, enabling effective collaboration and outcome-driven results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to build strong relationships and foster open dialogue.
- Ability to travel to site regularly as required, with flexibility to adapt to changing project needs.
