We are a leading Australian producer of premium thermal and metallurgical coal, operating world-class open cut and underground coal mining operations.

We seek an experienced Project Manager – Rail and Civil Infrastructure to drive the successful delivery of a major project.

The role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of the rail and civil infrastructure scope of work for this critical project.

You will manage the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, budget, and timeline requirements while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project planning and execution
  • Developing and managing detailed project schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Leading the development and execution of rail and civil infrastructure, including feasibility studies, design, tenders, construction, and commissioning
  • Developing scopes of work, reports, presentations, and other project-related documentation
  • Stakeholder engagement (internal and external)
  • Collaborating with regulatory authorities, engineering consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment with organisational goals
  • Managing stakeholder expectations and communication

Candidate requirements include:

  • Technical leadership in the design and construction of rail and civil infrastructure
  • Able to conduct technical reviews and provide engineering solutions to project challenges
  • Experience preparing, negotiating, and managing tenders and contracts with vendors, consultants, and contractors
  • Able to monitor contractor performance, ensuring delivery of work within agreed scope, quality, and timelines
