Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Motorcycle Incident Response Officer. The successful candidate will provide first response services to traffic incidents on major roads and highways, including the AirportlinkM7, Clem7, Legacy Way, Inner City Bypass, Go Between Bridge, and the Gateway and Logan Motorways.

The role requires working Monday to Friday, morning (05h00 – 13h00) and afternoon shifts (13h00 – 21h00), with duties including:

  • First responder to traffic incidents / breakdowns along major roads and highways
  • Supporting situational incident response officers where applicable
  • Working towards the safety of the team, road users, and other related parties while engaging in conflict resolution and managing critical incidents
  • Ensuring optimum safe lane availability and relaying up-to-date information to the public, supervisors, and the wider response team
  • Operating a range of vehicles to assist with civil maintenance support
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A valid Motorcycle and MR drivers' licence (zero court cancellations or suspensions)
  • Highly experienced in motorcycle operations
  • A Construction white card
  • The ability to work both day and night shift
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Level headedness and calmness when working under pressure with strong self-awareness
  • Incident management experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Full working rights in Australia
