About the Role
As a Risk Advisory Services Manager at BDO, you will lead the delivery of high-quality projects and client matters, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing a team of internal audit and risk professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients across various industry sectors, focusing on risk, controls, and assurance.
- Supervise and undertake fieldwork, preparing high-quality reports and deliverables that meet budgets and timelines.
- Drive the continuous improvement of current practice processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Contribute to business development and growth initiatives, working closely with Partners and Directors across the BDO team.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong Risk Consulting background, ideally gained in the professional services industry.
- An Accounting or business-related tertiary qualification.
- Certifications or qualifications relevant to the role, such as CIA, CA, CPA, CISA, or PRINCE2.
- Sound experience with IIA Standards and Practices.
- Some experience with Enterprise Resource Management systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or TechOne.
- The ability to develop strategic and annual internal audit plans, enterprise-wide risk assessments, and framework reviews.
- Demonstrable experience working with senior stakeholders across a broad range of clients.
- A background in developing and reviewing internal audit scopes and statements of work.
- Solid experience in process mapping, risk, and control identification.
