Job Overview

PCYC Queensland is seeking a dedicated and passionate Sports Recreation Manager to lead our sporting, recreation, and gymnasium services. This role requires the ability to coordinate systems, policies, and procedures for sport, recreation, and gymnasiums on a statewide basis, ensuring compliance with relative peak body requirements and sustained commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance sporting and recreational programs and services
  • Coordinate and manage gymnasium services, including maintenance, equipment, and staff management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including peak bodies, sponsors, and community groups
  • Monitor and report on program performance, including attendance, participation, and revenue
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and sustainability

Requirements

  • Minimum undergraduate qualification in sport and leisure management and/or a minimum of five years industry experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated understanding of the sport, recreation, and gymnasium industry
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic relationships
  • Be highly motivated with a strong passion for Health and Fitness
