NBH has 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms. The hospital's success relies on a highly skilled and expert team of staff who are supported by a comprehensive range of professional development opportunities.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse in our Medical Oncology/Palliative Care Ward. Ward 6C is a 30 bed public medical ward predominantly caring for oncology patients and those requiring end-of-life care. The 6C staff strive to provide evidence-based and patient-centered care. We are looking for Registered Nurses (RNs) who are eager to join our supporting and caring team, focused on delivering high-quality patient care while working collaboratively as part of a high-functioning team.

To be successful:

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an acute hospital setting is essential
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer-focused
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-functioning team
  • Passion for delivering quality patient-centered care
  • Flexibility with shift allocations and the commitment to work a rotating roster, including 12hr and 8hr shifts
