Executive Leader in Public Sector Governance
Job Description:The Deputy Director-General/Chief Operating Officer will be a senior executive leader responsible for serving the government of the day and meeting the needs of the people and communities of Queensland. They will provide high-level strategic and operational advice to the Minister, Director-General, and senior executives across various matters to meet strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with senior executives internally within the department, across the Queensland public service, and interjurisdictionally to provide solutions to drive better outcomes for Queenslanders.
- Assist the department to achieve its vision through a results-driven approach and a client and community-focused culture.
- Display the core public sector values of customers first, ideas into action, unleash potential, be courageous, and empower people.
They will have exceptional judgment, high-level integrity, and resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong agility, achievement orientation, and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
