About the Role

Programmed Training Services, in partnership with Svitzer, is seeking motivated and reliable students to participate in our School-Based Maritime Traineeship program. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the maritime industry while completing a nationally recognized qualification, all while attending school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with vessel operations, including mooring, refueling, and maintenance
  • Support maritime teams with day-to-day port operations
  • Learn to use maritime equipment and technology
  • Complete tasks assigned as part of the training plan
  • Participate in structured learning activities aligned with your Certificate II qualification

Essential Criteria
  • Currently enrolled in Year 10 and entering Year 11 in 2025
  • Ability to commit to a part-time traineeship (1 day per week)
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in the maritime industry
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and take initiative
  • Willingness to learn and complete training as required
