As a Nuclear Medicine Scientist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through the safe and effective performance of nuclear medicine procedures and therapeutic treatments.

  • This entails preparing, administering, and monitoring doses in accordance with EPA Radiation License requirements to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
  • You will contribute to clinical trials and research by participating in multidisciplinary, evidence-based practices that drive service improvement and professional development.
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders, you will build and maintain strong professional relationships across local health networks, universities, and other entities to ensure coordinated and collaborative service delivery.
  • You will ensure compliance with all relevant policies, including accurate documentation, confidentiality of patient records, and participation in hospital-wide systems for resource and patient flow management.

Key Requirements
  • A Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist with AHPRA registration and a current NSW EPA radiation licence, holding a recognised degree in Medical Radiation Science (Nuclear Medicine) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to positive patient outcomes and organisational goals.
  • Strong communication skills with well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, capable of navigating complex clinical and research environments.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development, with active engagement in education, training, and quality improvement initiatives, including mentoring students and participating in in-service programs.
