Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to perform daily machining tasks on CNC and manually controlled machines, ensuring precision, quality, and safety. This role requires collaboration with operations and management to support the development of apprentices and shop personnel.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing machining tasks accurately, following engineering drawings and instructions.
  • Training, mentoring, and supporting apprentices and shop personnel in all aspects of machining.
  • Maintaining accurate records, including job cards, repair and inspection documentation, and quality reports.
  • Undertaking training and upskilling to meet client requirements and stay updated with industry advancements.
  • Contributing to business growth through client and project diversification by delivering high-quality results.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification with at least 5 years' experience operating and programming CNC and manual machines.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately and effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of steel grades and machining characteristics to ensure optimal results.
  • Effective communication skills for working with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
