Exceptional Intensive Care Manager Wanted

As a seasoned healthcare professional, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team to deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes. With a focus on clinical excellence, strategic planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the ICU and achieving the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and direction to the ICU team, promoting a culture of excellence, respect, and open communication.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient outcomes, reduce length of stay, and enhance the overall quality of care.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
• Foster partnerships with other departments and stakeholders to promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements:
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Extensive clinical and management experience in critical care, preferably in an ICU setting.
• Postgraduate qualifications in health management or working towards same.
• Strong leadership skills, with ability to motivate, inspire, and manage staff to achieve service goals.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, risk management, and evidence-based practice principles.
• Experience in financial management, with ability to analyze and evaluate services.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with aptitude for utilizing relevant information technology platforms.
• Previous management experience in an acute care facility.
