About the Job:

Costco Wholesale is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Baker to join our team in Brisbane. This is a part-time opportunity that requires flexibility and a willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends.

Job Description:

• Utilize proofing equipment to monitor temperature, humidity, and timers to produce high-quality baked goods.
• Operate gas-fired rack ovens, setting temperature and timers, while ensuring safe handling of products.
• Follow production sheets to maintain order and efficiency in the bakery.
• Apply knowledge of scaling, combining ingredients, and preparing various types of baked goods.
• Use production thermometers, dough dividers, scales, knives, spatulas, safety ladders, and scissors to prepare scratch and frozen items.
• Promote cleanliness and sanitation throughout the bakery, adhering to SSOP guidelines.
• Maintain food safety standards and complete necessary training.
• Fulfill duties as needed, including front-end responsibilities and assisting other departments.

Requirements:

• Trade School certification required.
• Food Handling and Food Safety certifications preferred.
• Bakery experience essential.

Compensation:

This part-time position offers an estimated annual salary of $45,000 - $55,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include competitive pay, opportunities for advancement, and a dynamic work environment.
