Job Title: Plastic Production Machine Operator

Operate thermo-press machines to manufacture plastic products in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with machinery, strong mechanical aptitude, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulate temperature, pressure, speed, and flow of operation using machine controls.
  • Loading materials, items, and ingredients into machines and feeding mechanisms.
  • Monitoring production, regulating material supply, and adding chemicals and colorants to the mixture as needed.
  • Threading uncoated wire and cable through plastic coating machines, around take-up reels, and through dies and cooling chambers.
  • Laying casings, beads, ply, and rubber sheets on moulds.
  • Operating rollers to remove air from the product.
  • Operating vulcaniser presses and controlling curing processes.
  • Examining output for defects and conformity to specifications.
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal production efficiency.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience operating thermo-press machines or similar equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
