New World Consulting is seeking a dynamic leader in the field of Automated Warehousing solutions for the position of Electrical Maintenance Team Leader.
Position Overview
As a key figure reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will take on a hands-on leadership role, providing essential technical support to both the client and the maintenance team.
This facility operates on a 24/6 schedule, with Sundays designated for Preventative Maintenance, where additional resources are allocated to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday with a rotating roster that includes day shifts (6am to 2:30pm) and afternoon shifts (2pm to 10:30pm), alternating weekly.
- Overtime compensation: 1.5x for the first three hours and 2.0x thereafter, with Sundays always at 2.0x – occasional shift coverage may be required.
- One Sunday shift per month, with the option to take a day off in lieu immediately.
- Oversee a team of two technicians (electrician and fitter) during your shift.
- Engage in 60% hands-on work and 40% dedicated to planned preventative maintenance, while managing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Responsible for stock and inventory oversight.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point on-site.
- Utilize an 'influencer' leadership approach.
- Build and maintain a productive relationship with a demanding client.
- Implement a '5Y analysis' methodology to drive Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Inspire, coach, and motivate your team to achieve preventative maintenance objectives and overall site upkeep.
- Possession of an Electrical Trade Certificate (Fitter trade certification is also acceptable).
- Post Trade Certificate in Pneumatics & Hydraulics is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance software.
- Experience with automated warehouse machinery is desirable.
- Ability to perform under pressure while adhering to established procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Proficient in fault finding and diagnosis within mechatronics.
- Customer-focused approach is essential.
