Job Overview

This is a leadership position in finance, covering a 15-month fixed term contract with hybrid remote work options based in Sydney.

The successful candidate will lead a growing finance team and collaborate with the Head of Finance to develop financial plans aligned with the company's renewable energy targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance to develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Deliver cash flow forecasts and distribution analyses, ensuring liquidity and compliance with treasury and banking requirements.
  • Oversee internal controls and ensure adherence to delegated authority limits, regulatory standards, and carbon trading schemes.
  • Lead bank compliance activities, including covenant monitoring and loan repayments.
  • Supervise the preparation of monthly management accounts, board reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure timely delivery of audit requirements.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical accounting expertise with advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and ability to deliver insightful management reporting.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage resources effectively.
  • Skilled in identifying process inefficiencies and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects across development, construction, and operations.
  • Expert knowledge of accounting standards relevant to renewable energy assets.
  • Experience in infrastructure accounting and due diligence processes.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and mentoring teams of qualified and semi-qualified accountants.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Business-level English proficiency.
