Job Description:

We are seeking a Sustainability Expert to lead our climate data and reporting program, delivering insights and analysis that inform our sustainability priorities, regulatory obligations and reporting.

This is a high-impact opportunity to join a small, high-performing team and make a real difference in shaping AusNet's sustainability systems and performance.

The successful candidate will have the ability to drive strategic impact with data-led insights that influence senior decision-makers and champion climate action by shaping our sustainability policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead internal and external climate data audits and assurance processes
  • Develop and implement a new climate data system and dashboard
  • Monitor and report on emissions performance and targets
  • Deliver audit-ready climate accounts for NGERs and ASRS S2
  • Support decarbonisation initiatives and ESG reporting

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science or equivalent
  • 2+ years in climate change data and reporting or a sustainability role
  • Direct experience with climate reporting frameworks (e.g. NGERs)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief and influence senior leadership
