Project Director – Commercial High Rise

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale new-build commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects through the full 360 project life cycle, with experience in both head contractor and consultancy/client-side environments.

Candidates should have expertise in new builds or extensions in sectors such as commercial medium to high rise, health, pharma, labs, research, life sciences, etc.

The role emphasizes stakeholder management, clear verbal and written communication, client-facing interactions, strong technical knowledge, design capability, and contract administration with a can-do attitude.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project planning and feasibility studies
  • Design management and value engineering
  • Procurement of construction services
  • Delivery of construction services
  • Cost control, cost reporting and superintendent duties
  • Commissioning and post-contract duties for handover
  • Oversight and delivery of the project

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5–15+ years managing commercial medium to high-rise / life science projects
  • Proven knowledge of contract administration and base-build construction
  • Experience managing general conditions of contract such as AS4902
  • Strong understanding of overall construction programmes and plans
  • Able to identify key client and builder obligations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport at all levels
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
