The UNSW Australia is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Lived Experience Project Worker.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with lived experience of intellectual disability to contribute to improving healthcare for people with intellectual disability.

As a Lived Experience Project Worker, you will work closely with different teams at the National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health (The Centre) to co-design resources, approaches, and information that promote better health experiences for people with intellectual disability.

You will have the opportunity to work on various projects, develop project plans, make accessible documents and resources, test them, and provide suggestions for improvement.

We are looking for someone who has lived experience of intellectual disability, a passion for improving healthcare, and experience working in projects and with project teams.

A strong understanding of teamwork, good organisation and time management skills, and the ability to learn computer skills are essential for this role.

In return, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary of $47.09 per hour, plus 17% Super and leave loading.

The position is open to applicants with a lived experience of intellectual disability only, and multiple part-time roles are available with flexible hours.

Each team has a Workplace Support Officer to support the Lived Experience Project Worker, and you will have the opportunity to work closely with other organisations through our consortium members.
