We are seeking a VR GP to join our multidisciplinary health service in Broken Hill, NSW. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art clinic with a fun and friendly team.

The Opportunity

This health service offers a range of services including GP, imaging, allied health, ultrasound and x-ray services. You will be working alongside another doctor to provide services to a primarily elderly and adult population. The clinic is open from Monday to Friday between 08.30am – 17.00pm, with no on call requirement.

Appointment types include pre-employment medical assessments and WorkCover for the local mining industry, occasional Mental Health presentations with support of 3 onsite Psychologists and a high focus on preventative medicine for those with chronic disease. Roughly 25% of appointments would be to complete pre-employment medicals, though if not confident general appointments can also be booked.

The Location

Broken Hill is a large outback mining town with outstanding heritage significance to our First Nations People as well as early European settlers. This is a perfect base for exploring stunning national parks, cafes and more than 30 art galleries in the region.

Essential Criteria

To be eligible for this role you must have unrestricted AHPRA specialist registration, RACGP fellowship or equivalent and full working rights. Prior experience with pre-employment medicals and work cover is also required.
