About the Role

Sedgman is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join its Systems & Innovation group. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining business intelligence reporting, databases, and in-house developed applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and support reports and dashboards within an enterprise reporting environment.
  • Translate business requirements into data solutions and models.
  • Build tables, views, and models to meet requirements.
  • Design and develop efficient visualisations and Power BI reports following set standards.
  • Extract, transform, and load data within the DWH.
  • Execute the test and deployment solution for data models and reports.
  • Configure and maintain multiple layers of security relating to Power BI reports.
  • Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports.
  • Assist with the creation of standards, policies, patterns, and efficiencies across our BI platforms.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a BI Developer/Specialist role.
  • Strong experience in SQL, Python, C# programming languages.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, DAX, Power Query.
  • Experience in Power Apps.
  • Experience with SSIS and SSRS.
  • Experience in creating automated workflows using Power Automate/Logic Apps.
  • Experience with Visual Studio.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience in migrating data from third-party applications.
  • Experience in APIs.
  • Non-technical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse information and think systematically.
  • Ability to recognise patterns in data/processes.
