About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Asian/Wok Commis Chef to join our team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin. As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for collaborating with senior chefs to create dishes that showcase your culinary expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare a range of Asian dishes in a high-volume production setting
  • Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards
  • Execute food preparation tasks, showcasing expertise in food presentation
  • Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
  • Ensure HACCP and WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Wok/Asian Commis Chef is required
  • Solid background in kitchen operations
  • Minimum Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety certificate, or willing to obtain at onboarding
  • A passion for food and creative flair
  • Demonstrated track record meeting financial targets for food and labor costs
