About the Role

This is a dynamic position that offers a blend of technical challenges and cultural experiences.

  • The Senior Geological Specialist will provide guidance and assistance to the operations team in geological procedures, drilling, sampling and assaying.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing geological support to the mine operations, including evaluating the geological potential and resource accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist geologists in geological systems, including planning and end-of-month reporting.
  • Oversee 3D modeling and block modeling using appropriate software.
  • Evaluate corporate QA/QC policy and procedures.
  • Define required drilling/data collection for geology, geotechnical, hydrogeology and metallurgy.
  • Manage contractors for all aspects of operations and projects.
  • Develop and train operational personnel to broaden their skill base.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should be an experienced professional with a relevant tertiary qualification in Geology.

  • 8-10 years of experience covering exploration, production geology and project study.
  • Experience with mining and geological software packages.
  • Excellent communication skills.
