About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Assessor to join our team on the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance. As a Plant Assessor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our fleet of plant and equipment is compliant with the LORA Primary Standards, Legislative requirements, and project-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of plant and equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements.
  • Gather and upload supporting information into the system and provide regular reports as required.
  • Manage compliance checks to ensure suppliers and project teams are notified of upcoming inspection expiry dates.
  • Provide data and reports on plant safety and environmental management, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement training programs to up-skill site teams in plant management and assessment.
  • Assist the project with managing breakdowns and maintenance requirements for plant and equipment.
  • Track and record fuel utilization against each asset.

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Trade qualifications in Mechanical (Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic).
  • Proven track record in managing the maintenance of fleets, plants, and equipment, with experience in scheduling and strategic planning.
  • Expertise in preventative maintenance, electrical and mechanical fault diagnostics, and repairs of civil/mining earthmoving equipment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to engage in proactive behavior, managing time and multiple plant simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated professional with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrable understanding of safe working practices relevant to the role.
