About the Role:

This Senior Research Director - Analytical Chemistry role presents an exciting opportunity to lead a key strategic initiative in developing in-house analytical testing capability. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a pivotal part in establishing market trends and priorities. Your ultimate goal is to provide a superior stability offering of compounded medicines to our customers.

The role demands exceptional leadership skills, with responsibility for overseeing the operation of SLH Laboratory, ensuring compliance to procedures and GMP requirements. Key responsibilities include:
  • Qualifying laboratory equipment
  • Management, training, and support to scientists and laboratory technicians
  • Development and validation of physical and chemical methods for analysis of various substances
  • Designing and conducting experimental work
  • Preparation of protocols and reports according to SLH and ICH guidelines
  • Investigation of non-conformances, OOSs, and deviations as required
  • Management of the stability study program

Requirements:

A Ph.D. qualification, combined with commercial acumen and experience in various analytical techniques, including HPLC (SEC, HIC, CIEX, RP), CZE, ELISA, UV/VIS, cell-based assays, and physical analysis techniques, are essential. A strong ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines is crucial. This permanent full-time position offers 76 hours per fortnight (Monday–Friday) at Mt Kuring-gai, NSW.
