Senior Strength & Conditioning Coach

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will design and implement world-class strength and conditioning programs to maximise the physical performance of nationally categorised QAS athletes within the QAS Rugby Sevens Academy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based strength and conditioning services to the QAS Rugby Sevens Academy program, coaches and QAS categorised athletes in line with each athlete's Individual Athlete Performance Plan (IAPP) aligned with their What It Takes to Win (WITTW) framework.
  • Provide timely feedback to coaches, athletes and the Performance Support team on specific performance testing and tracking/monitoring for QAS categorised athletes.
  • Contribute to the development of IAPPs and assist in regularly reviewing development priorities and performance metrics to measure progress.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary performance support team to create a high-performance environment and provide an integrated program based on the level and needs of QAS supported Rugby Sevens athletes.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in strength and conditioning coaching, preferably at a national or international level.
  • Strong understanding of sports science principles and best practices in strength and conditioning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with athletes, coaches and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to design and implement comprehensive strength and conditioning programs that meet the unique needs of individual athletes.
