About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Officer to join our team at NGARE EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring our company operates sustainably, responsibly, and in line with our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the sustainability team in working with operations, engineering, and corporate teams to understand data collation methods and identify gaps.
  • Establish and maintain an effective environmental management system.
  • Collect and analyze environmental and sustainability data, and assist with accurate reporting in compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage sustainability data and reporting in current format, while providing options for improved governance systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, best practices, and changes in environmental legislation, and advise the business accordingly.
  • Review and advise on carbon data, carbon accounting methods, and carbon markets as part of our decarbonization strategy.
  • Work with farm-based consultants to assist in mapping scope 3 emissions.
  • Assist in the development of our company's ESG policies.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of environmental legislation and experience in sustainability and environmental reporting.
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, or Supply Chain Field, with a preference for an Environmental Science qualification.
  • Quantitative, data-focused approach to problem-solving, with excellent skills in MS Office applications.
  • Prior experience with NPI, NGER, and WEMP reporting, as well as project work related to carbon neutrality, is advantageous.
