We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Midwife to join our Maternity team at Prospero Health & Social Care.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Midwife to provide exceptional services during the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal episodes.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Maternity and a Degree in Nursing and Health Management or equivalent.

Key responsibilities will include working with Obstetricians and Pediatricians, performing clinical roles, and ensuring an exceptional level of care to mothers and babies.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current Registration with APHRA as a Registered Midwife
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Maternity
  • Degree in Nursing and Health Management or equivalent
  • Demonstrated high level of competence with a proven ability to operate confidently in Delivery Suite, Antenatal, Special Care and Postnatal Units
  • Demonstrated collaborative and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient centered care
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with computerised reporting systems
  • Well-developed time management skills with a high degree of initiative
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of continuous quality improvement
  • Commitment to professional development and to a structured learning program for all staff
  • Immunisation Evidence (including full Covid vaccination and seasonal Influenza) and additional serology report)

Desirable Criteria:

  • Evidence of continuing commitment to professional groups
  • Demonstrated participation in patient education sessions within the Maternity Unit
  • Demonstrated participation in policy and procedure development
