Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to lead the design of gates, regulating structures, outlet works, valves, fish screens, and other mechanical aspects of water storage dam infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in all project phases, including project identification, feasibility studies, conceptual design, reference design, and detailed design.

They will be responsible for providing technical leadership, mentoring and working closely with the rest of the team to develop sustainable capability.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplined team environment.

Requirements
  • Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in the mechanical engineering aspects of water storage dams
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in a consulting environment
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessments and dam safety inspections or condition assessments
  • Excellent project management skills
