About the Role

This Building Cadet position offers a fantastic opportunity for a university student to gain hands-on experience across various aspects of the construction industry, including Engineering, Design, Estimating, and Safety.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive company safety policies, practices, and procedures in compliance with OH&S legislative requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Company Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Policies and procedures.
  • Assist with trade package tendering, compilation, approval of documents, issue of tenders, comparison, and submission of recommendations.
  • Manage general administration of trade packages following award, progress payments, variations, and final accounts.
  • Coordinate site duties, office, and administration as required.

Requirements:

  • CURRENT STUDENT studying Construction/Building/Engineering at a recognised institution, ideally in second or third year.
  • Proven high level of professionalism and work ethic.
  • Good knowledge of MSWord, MS Excel, and MS Outlook; ability and willingness to learn new software packages as required.
  • Acknowledge that attendance of lectures during work hours not to exceed 1 full-day, or 2 half-days per week.
