Delivering high-quality patient care requires a collaborative effort from the entire healthcare team. As an Assistant in Nursing, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care to patients.

About the Role

You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting the nursing team in delivering exceptional patient outcomes. This involves collaborating with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve outstanding results.

  • Develop strong relationships with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse in implementing care plans and provide guidance to colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues using excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts by managing your emotions and interacting professionally with others.
Selection Criteria
  • Hold a current Health Service Assistant Certificate III (Acute Care) or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of delegation and ability to work within a plan of care under supervision.
  • Ability to provide person-centered care respecting individual rights and dignity.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills using technology and verbal/written communication.
  • Capacity to identify and resolve conflict situations professionally.
