We are a specialist therapy services provider, registered with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), delivering Positive Behaviour Support Early Intervention throughout Perth Metro and regional Western Australia.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Disabilities Services Officer to join our team in a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner role, based in Esperance. The successful candidate will work with NDIS participants, their carers, family, and significant others, providing training and support in interventions and strategies outlined in behaviour support plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct indirect and direct assessments, including observations and data collection, to develop behaviour support plans and functional behavioural assessments.
- Support NDIS participants with disabilities, their carers, family, and significant others in achieving their person-centered goals.
- Provide training and support in interventions and strategies outlined in behaviour support plans, including fade-out plans for restrictive practices.
- Collaborate with external services and providers to assist in solving individual problems.
- Lead a team and support other core practitioners in achieving team goals.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in an Allied Health background or Behavioural Science.
- Board certified Behaviour Analyst or over 2 years of experience in delivering Positive Behaviour Support.
- Demonstrated experience working with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
- Working with Children's card, National police clearance, and current driving license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission.
