About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our team at Leidos. As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in inspiring, motivating, and mentoring team members to achieve Defence mission outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Demonstrate leadership as the shift lead and within the broader team to meet mission and contractual outcomes.
  • Incident Response: Work collaboratively with stakeholders to triage, manage, and report on security incidents.
  • Security Operations: Actively build relationships with stakeholders, develop SOC tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP's) and security toolsets, and develop custom signatures to identify, detect, protect, respond, and recover from adversary attacks.
  • Threat Hunting: Assist in threat hunt operations using known adversary TTP's and Indicators of Compromise (IOC's) to detect advanced threats.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Develop security operational documentation and incident report writing, and undertake management Service Level Reporting in line with contractual requirements and emerging business needs on the security of the environment.
  • Intelligence and Analysis: Identify and evaluate new sources of intelligence, and integrate numerous types of cyber security data sources into cyber threat analysis products.
Requirements
  • Expertise: Demonstrated advance expertise in developing, maintaining, and monitoring SIEM (Splunk) apps, rulesets, dashboards, and workflows is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated intermediate to advance Windows, Linux, and Networking experience highly desired.
  • Incident Response Experience: Demonstrated intermediate to advance Incident Response professional experience highly desired.
  • Security Tools: Demonstrated experience with Trellix EPO, Tenable, and Palo Alto platforms, or similar, highly desired.
  • Scripting and Automation: Demonstrated experience with scripting and automation technologies highly desired.
  • Leadership and Coordination: Demonstrated ability in providing leadership, direction, and coordination to a team of professionals.
  • Qualifications: Industry ICT Security qualifications such as CompTIA Sec+, CISSP, GIAC, GCIH, etc. desired, but not essential.
  • Education: Tertiary education (Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent) desired, but not essential (equivalent work experience highly desired).
  • Clearance: Current NV1 or NV2 clearance.
