About the Role

The Tasmania Government is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Psychologist to join our team in the Paediatrics department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert psychological services to children and their families, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health issues.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including Paediatricians, Allied Health professionals, and Nurses, to provide holistic care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each child and family.
  • Conduct research and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices in Paediatric Mental Health.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Current Working with Children Registration.
Desirable Criteria
  • Holds area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychologist.
  • Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
