Overview

As a senior lawyer, you will have the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of lawyers/paralegals at varying levels of experience. You will provide high-quality legal advice on property, leasing, and related civil law issues.

You will represent the organisation in civil litigation and property-related disputes. Your role will involve managing a steady litigation-heavy caseload while maintaining 3-4 billable hours per day.

Ensuring client outcomes are fair and free from exploitation is crucial for this position. You will contribute to a supportive, ethical, and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor junior lawyers.
  • Provide legal advice on property, leasing, and related civil law issues.
  • Represent the organisation in civil litigation and property-related disputes.
  • Manage a steady litigation-heavy caseload.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years post-admission legal experience with a focus on civil and property law.
  • Eligibility for a practising certificate in Queensland and registration in the High Court.
  • Strong leadership capability with a track record of mentoring junior lawyers.
