Senior Occupational Therapist Position

The role of a Senior Occupational Therapist at our correctional facility is to deliver and evaluate Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for outpatients.

  • Implement Occupational Therapy programs to support individuals referred to the Forensicare team.
  • Take a leading role in the clinical team on occupational performance issues and functional skill development.
  • Contribute to positive consumer outcomes through Occupational Therapy specific assessment and intervention.
  • Develop and maintain strategic plans for the Occupational Therapy service.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to ensure ongoing development of Occupational Therapy services.

Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need an approved degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA. You should also have highly developed skills in forensic mental health, knowledge of OT Australia's Code of Ethics, and a solid conceptual understanding of occupational performance theories.
