Media Relations Strategist

Are you a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills?
About the Role:This is an exciting leadership opportunity to develop and execute external communications that promote our strategy, vision, and priorities.
- Develop, manage, and implement media relations and external programs aligned with our direction and business objectives.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify and execute activities related to Group-wide announcements and other initiatives to drive external coverage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets.
As a senior manager, you will continually develop story angles, media events/activations, and other opportunities to grow our brand and support key moments throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee and approve the distribution of external communications materials including media releases, fact sheets, briefing documents, messaging matrix, press kits, and Q&A's.
- Support wider communications/crisis comms/government and stakeholder relations activity as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably across traditional media relations and PR.
- A proven track record of delivering successful media and external facing campaigns and crisis management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
