The Department of Home Affairs seeks a highly organised and skilled Administrative Support Officer to join the Test Centre of Excellence team in Canberra.

The successful candidate will undertake activities such as contract management, recruitment, resource management, and other corporate functions to ensure efficient operation of the Test Centre of Excellence. They will assist with triaging correspondence, provide information to resolve or refer issues, and establish effective working relationships with internal clients and stakeholders.

The Test Centre of Excellence Administrative Support Officer works closely with team members, clients, and stakeholders; managing relationships and ensuring that our services are delivered to meet client's goals and expectations.

  • Assist with recruitment activities, including interviews, onboarding, and exit procedures
  • Undertake filing and records management functions and ensure records are accurate, complete, and managed in accordance with departmental policy
  • Undertake administrative tasks, including data collection and reporting
  • Assist with collation of section information, such as working from home forms and accommodation
  • Assist with basic contract and panel management

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen, obtain and maintain the required AGSVA clearance, obtain and maintain a current Employment Suitability Clearance, satisfy a probation period, and undergo a health assessment (if applicable).
