**Salary & Benefits**

As a Primary School Receptionist and Learning Assistant at Canberra Grammar School, you can expect a highly competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, plus 13% superannuation. **Job Description**

The role of the Primary School Receptionist involves supporting a learning environment for students, welcoming School community members and guests, and delivering a friendly, efficient, confidential and professional service always, both in person and on the telephone.

The role of the Learning Assistant involves working alongside classroom teachers as part of a cooperative team and providing a vibrant, dynamic and innovative educational programme for our students. This role also involves supervision duties during break time or as needed across the day and other duties as required.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care (current or actively studying toward achieving these qualifications)
  • An understanding of the ACEQA National Regulations and Framework
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within the education sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience establishing good working relationships with students, parents, staff and the school community
  • Administration and organisational skills
  • Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • An understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of matters involved in the role
  • Experience working in a small and busy team environment with the ability to work well under pressure
  • The ability to work independently, intuitively and flexibly

You will also need to have a valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card, a current National Police Check, and full working rights within Australia.
