Kinexus is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of electronic systems for defence applications.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics engineering, with experience in designing and developing complex electronic systems.

The role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with defence industry standards and delivering high-quality solutions to major defence projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop electronic systems, including circuit boards, power distribution, and embedded control systems.
  2. Integrate electronic components into larger defence systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.
  3. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.
  4. Conduct testing, verification, and validation of electronic systems to meet military standards.
  5. Ensure designs comply with defence regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance requirements.
  6. Support project planning, risk assessment, and resource allocation for electronics development programs.
  7. Collaborate with suppliers, defence contractors, and government agencies to align with project requirements.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 10+ years of experience in electronic system design, preferably in the defence or aerospace sector.
  3. Proficiency in PCB design, embedded systems, and FPGA/ASIC development.
  4. Strong knowledge of power electronics, RF systems, and signal processing.
  5. Experience with Altium Designer, MATLAB, Simulink, and embedded C/C++.
  6. Familiarity with defence standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, DEF(AUST), AS/NZS 4761).
  7. Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance (NV1 or higher preferred).
