Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Development Specialist to join our team in Western Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering interventions to NDIS participants aged 0-8 and their families.

About the Position

This is a full-time or part-time (4 days per week) opportunity with flexibility to create a work schedule that suits your needs. You will work collaboratively with families, carers, and healthcare professionals to develop personalized plans that cater to each child's unique needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify areas of need and develop tailored intervention plans
  • Work closely with families to provide education and support on strategies for promoting child development
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and speech pathologists
  • Document progress and outcomes through regular reporting and data analysis
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, or Education
  • Registration with relevant professional bodies (AHPRA or SPA)
  • Minimum 12 months' experience working with children aged 0-8 and their families
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including families, carers, and healthcare professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
