Job SummaryBASScare is seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to join our team at Faversham House, a residential care facility in Canterbury. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook meals that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and staff supervision.
- Collaborate with our care team to ensure that meals are tailored to meet the individual needs of our residents.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards.
- Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the dining experience for our residents.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in a residential care setting.
- Qualifications in food safety and hygiene, and a Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on teamwork and communication.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
- A competitive hourly rate of $27-$30, plus super and applicable allowances.
