Job Summary

BASScare is seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to join our team at Faversham House, a residential care facility in Canterbury. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and staff supervision.
  • Collaborate with our care team to ensure that meals are tailored to meet the individual needs of our residents.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the dining experience for our residents.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in a residential care setting.
  • Qualifications in food safety and hygiene, and a Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on teamwork and communication.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
