Employment Attorney Opportunity

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated employment attorney to join our team on a secondment basis (minimum 6 months with the potential to extend). This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our legal team, providing expert advice and support on a diverse range of employment matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice on employment law issues, including workplace disputes, employee relations, and compliance with employment legislation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in managing employment-related claims and litigation.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in employment law.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and regulations.
  • Experience in handling employment disputes and litigation.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders to assist in achieving strategic and commercial objectives.
