Robotic Product Specialist Job Description

As a Robotic Product Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting orthopaedic surgeons in the planning and execution of robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements using cutting-edge technology.

You will be the primary clinical expert for this technology, providing real-time support during procedures and working closely with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and a passion for surgical innovation. They may come from fields such as:

  • Orthopaedic clinical support
  • Biomedical science/engineering
  • Medical device experience
  • Operating theatre nursing/registered nursing experience
  • Physiotherapy or allied health with surgical exposure
  • Human movement or anatomy specialists with clinical experience

The successful applicant will be confident in surgical/theatre settings, technically savvy with software and medical technology, and an excellent communicator who can build trust with surgeons and hospital teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the in-theatre expert for robotic-assisted procedures, providing technical and clinical guidance to surgeons and theatre staff.
  • Collaborating with surgical teams to ensure optimal use of the robotic platform during joint replacement surgeries.
  • Conducting pre-operative CT-based planning and segmentation to assist in surgical case preparation.
  • Maintaining a high level of knowledge in orthopaedic surgical techniques, anatomy, and robotic technology.
  • Providing ongoing training and clinical support to hospital staff and surgical teams.
  • Traveling across regions to support multiple hospital sites.
