Pastry Chef Position

We seek a skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our culinary team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional pastries and desserts, and be able to lead a team of skilled bakers in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high-quality kitchen environment, preparing complex and exotic dishes to specification, and supervising and training kitchen staff as required.

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment that promotes a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Develop and implement recipes and menus that showcase creativity and flair while meeting customer expectations.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff on food preparation, presentation, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution of menu items and maintain a positive working relationship.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock rotation to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a high-volume food production environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of HACCP, QSAI, and Food Safety practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Trade-qualified Chef with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and management principles.
