The Role

We are seeking a finance professional who is passionate about driving innovation and making a tangible impact. As a Finance Transformation Specialist, you will empower teams to rethink and enhance financial processes, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices.

You will be responsible for:

  • Creating a Culture of Innovation: Encourage creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to find novel solutions to existing challenges.
  • Establishing Strategic Partnerships: Develop and sustain relationships at senior levels to enhance Defence operations and emerging business capabilities.
  • Influencing Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration and influence stakeholders to drive business innovation.
  • Optimizing Business Processes: Identify opportunities for process improvement, eliminating redundancies, and improving overall efficiency and productivity.
  • Implementing the Innovation Program: Develop and implement a framework, roadmap, and governance structure to drive systematic business improvement.
  • Program and Project Management: Manage complex planning, proposals, risk management, monitoring dependencies, key deliverables, and milestones.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Manage stakeholder relationships and program communications.

You will act as a change agent for the development and implementation of new innovations, major business process improvement initiatives, and implement a cultural shift towards continuous improvement to help Defence Finance Group evolve its services, procedures, capabilities, and products.

The Innovation and Business Process Improvement Directorate plays a vital role within the Financial Change and Integration Branch, driving transformative change through fostering behavioural shifts towards continuous improvement, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving business innovation within Defence Finance Group.

We are a collaborative group that empowers others to rethink and reshape traditional financial processes by providing the tools, guidance, and support needed for teams to drive their own improvement.

Our Ideal Candidate

A finance professional with experience in finance transformation, change management, business process optimization, or improvement. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and facilitate collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
