About the Role

Chandler Macleod is seeking a seasoned Procurement Specialist to deliver top-tier procurement services to our business.

This key position is offered on a 6-month contract with opportunities for extension, providing a chance to make a lasting impact on our organization.

This role focuses on strategic sourcing, purchasing, and expediting a wide range of goods and services, primarily goods, ensuring they meet our agreed standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and verify shopping carts for goods and services to ensure accuracy and compliance with our procurement policies.
  • Review robotic-generated purchase orders for accuracy before release, ensuring seamless integration with our supply chain management systems.
  • Solicit bids for goods and services as needed, and prepare recommendations for approval, leveraging your expertise in supplier evaluation and contract negotiation.
  • Identify and establish preferred and pre-qualified suppliers, fostering strong relationships and driving cost savings.
  • Purchase goods and services according to established standards, ensuring value for money and aligning with our business objectives.
  • Actively negotiate savings with suppliers and explore process improvement opportunities, driving innovation and efficiency in our procurement processes.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve delivery issues, ensuring timely and reliable delivery of goods and services.
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and reliable data entry in the SRM e-Procurement and SAP MM systems, maintaining data integrity and supporting business intelligence.
  • Provide hands-on training and support to customers using SRM e-Procurement and SAP MM, enhancing user adoption and proficiency.
Requirements
  • Extensive procurement experience within a large, multi-disciplined, engineering-focused commercial organization.
  • Proven expertise in supplier/contractor evaluation and goods procurement, with a strong understanding of contemporary procurement theory and practices.
  • Significant experience with computer-based procurement systems, including SRM e-Procurement and SAP MM.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic trading applications and ability to prioritize, lead, and influence effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders and build strong relationships within the business.
