About the Role

Ron Finemore Transport Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Injury Claims Advisor to join our team in Wodonga. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing employee rehabilitation, supporting recovery and return to work processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Case Management: Ensure compliance with rehabilitation management systems, processes, and tools.
  • Delegations and Determinations: Undertake duties and responsibilities as set out in the Delegations schedule, including drafting and issuing of determinations.
  • Rehabilitation Programs and Return to Work Plans: Apply the principles of health benefits of good work in developing rehabilitation programs and return to work plans.
  • Strategic Advice and Collaboration: Participate in case conferences and meetings to provide strategic advice on rehabilitation and return to work strategies.
  • Rehabilitation Management Systems Development: Contribute to the development and review of rehabilitation management systems.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain records to meet reporting requirements.
  • Technical Support and Advice: Provide technical support and advice to operational leaders to ensure they can fulfill their roles.
About You

We are looking for someone with a high attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a willingness to contribute to our workplace. This role requires strong, concise communication skills and the ability to listen and build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience within a workers' compensation self-insured environment.
  • Qualifications: Qualifications in personal injury related fields.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Detailed knowledge of the SRC Act and associated legislation, ability to identify and analyze difficult issues, and coach/mentor support staff towards best practice.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Transport industry.
