Job Title: Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction

We are seeking an experienced and passionate education professional to join our team as an Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction. This is a leadership role that requires a strong commitment to improving student learning outcomes through effective curriculum and instruction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of evidence-informed literacy and numeracy practices to improve teaching, learning, and assessment across the curriculum.
  • Provide high-impact professional learning to enhance teacher expertise in the teaching of literacy and numeracy across the curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan, teach, and evaluate the impact of evidence-informed teaching strategies for improved student outcomes in literacy and numeracy across the curriculum.
  • Strengthen the capabilities of teachers and leaders to progress schoolwide literacy and numeracy priorities through effective collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Successful teaching experience with a proven track record of improving teaching, learning, and classroom practice.
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
  • Strong educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies.
