Workshop Service Technician

The primary responsibility of this role is to execute service orders involving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance and testing scopes of work.

This includes inspecting, servicing, and preserving subsea oilfield equipment. The majority of works involve mechanical fitting, functioning, hydraulic flushing, and testing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Executing scopes of work described in service orders with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Inspecting and maintaining subsea oilfield equipment to ensure it operates safely and effectively.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized workspace to prevent accidents and ensure efficient workflow.

This role requires a strong understanding of good workshop working practices and a commitment to safe working practices.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an assembly and test workshop environment, preferably related to mechanical and/or hydraulic tooling and equipment.
  • Experience working on subsea drilling, well completions, well access, and/or controls equipment is highly desirable.
  • Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and their applications.
  • Ability to work at heights and operate heavy machinery safely.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications

Candidates should hold the following qualifications:

  • Mechanical/Electrical Trades certificate (desired but not essential).
  • Rigging or Dogging license.
  • Working Safely at heights license (desired but not essential).
  • Electronic work platform license.
  • Qualified First Aider.
