Quality Site Welding is a mid-sized company based in Warragul, Victoria, with around 35 staff members.
About You
We are looking for an individual with a Cert III engineering qualification and strong project management skills. While a Project Management certification is ideal, it's not necessarily required.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery within the agreed budget. This involves planning projects, collaborating with a team, and allocating tasks accordingly. The ideal candidate should have a background in trades, business acumen, management experience, budgeting skills, and analytical abilities.
Key Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess an engineering background, manufacturing experience, and strong project management skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze tender information to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
- Plan resource allocation and assign team members to specific tasks to optimize project efficiency.
- Effectively manage project procurement processes to minimize costs and maximize productivity.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and identify potential issues.
- Develop production methodologies and documentation to streamline workflows.
- Collaborate with draftspersons to create detailed workshop drawings and manage revisions.
- Create QA and OH&S documentation to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Coordinate subcontractor allocation to meet project needs.
- Work closely with the workshop manager to oversee manufacturing operations.
- Manage project deliveries, including arranging transportation for mobile equipment.
- Foster collaboration between install teams and site leading hands to ensure seamless handovers.
- Oversee installations by following QSW procedures and protocols.
- Maintain open lines of communication with install team members.
- Finalize QA and project documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Report incidents promptly on allocated projects.
- Manage project finances to ensure budgetary targets are met.
